Education Tax Credits Need Our Help!
EDUCATION TAX CREDITS NEED OUR HELP!
The Education Investment Tax Credit bill
(A.1826) would provide $150 million in scholarships to help families pay
tuition at religious and independent schools and an additional $150
million of support for public schools.
The bill has already passed the
Senate. In the Assembly the bill has 68 Democratic co-sponsors, but
needs 76 to ensure a vote on the Assembly floor.
Your Assembly
representative, Ellen Jaffe, although once a co-sponsor of the bill, has
removed her name and is no longer willing to co-sponsor the measure. It
is critically important for you to e-mail your Assembly representative
as soon as possible to urge her to co-sponsor the bill.Send a message to Assemblywoman Jaffee now!

There
are only four weeks left in the 2013 Legislative Session. Governor
Andrew Cuomo continues to push for an
unecessary and dangerous expansion of abortion bill. Let the Governor and
your state lawmakers know that no matter how it is packaged, more
abortion will not help women.
Tell them you stand opposed to any
expansion of abortion in New York, the abortion capital of the nation.
Even if you have already done so, now is the time for constituents to
