HSPT Review Class registration is open for rising 8th graders

What is the HSPT? The HSPT (High School Placement Test) is a test designed to measure school aptitude and scholastic achievement in Reading, Mathematics, and Language.  It is required by Albertus Magnus High School for enrollment in the 2025-2026 school year and may be required by other Catholic High Schools you may be interested in.  This year's test is on Friday, November 8, 2024 and Albertus Magnus is a test site.  Registration for the HSPT opens in August, click HERE for more information from the Archdiocese of New York. 

Whether you decide to apply to Albertus Magnus or another High School, the AM HSPT review course can help you improve your score.  The AM HSPT review course offers a personalized review session for your rising 8th grader.  The students begin the course with a practice test on September 25th, where their areas of strength and weakness will be identified.  Then, our AM teachers will offer in-depth and knowledgeable instruction to improve test taking strategies, time management and organizational skills. 

The AM HSPT review class meets:
Wednesday, 9/25/24 for the practice test from 4:00 pm - 6:45 pm 
Wednesday, 10/2/24 from 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm 
Wednesday, 10/9/24 from 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm
Wednesday, 10/16/24 from 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm
Wednesday, 10/23/24 from 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm
Wednesday, 11/6/24 from 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm (Last class)
