Program History
The Wrestling Program began its first season of competition at Albertus during the 2024-2025 school year. Led by Coach Matt Caputo, the wrestling team competes in the highly regarded Section 1 Conference. IN this venue, the boys compete not only against the top athletes in the area, but against some of the best athletes in the state.

Coaches
Head Coach Matt Caputo is in his first year as the Varsity Wrestling Head Coach at Albertus. Matt is a former high school standout and collegiate wrestler. He was a starter at SUNY Cortland at the 149lb weight class. During his high school career, he was a 4-year varsity starter at North Rockland HS where he had a career 220 HS wins. He was a 4x County Champion, 5x Division Champion, 4x State Qualifier and 2x Section I Champion. Coach Matt looks to bring his experience as a wrestler to teaching and developing our wrestlers at Albertus Magnus HS.
